Courtney + Ben Engaged!

Honestly, I don't know where to start with this one..... Courtney and Ben are very dear friends that are getting married in October of this year. I was in Columbus Ohio over the past weekend for a college reunion and since I am not going to be able to make it to their wedding, I wanted to shoot their engagement pictures as my gift to them. We spent Saturday afternoon laughing, giggling and walking around the Short North Area of Columbus. Courtney has a very infectious laugh that literally turns heads! It is hard to not laugh when she is laughing, it is one of her famous personality traits and I love it! She and Ben are a fabulous couple. A truly perfect match. I am so happy for them and wish the happy couple the best in the years to come.

Emily + Shaun Engaged!

Yesterday Emily, Shaun and I spent the afternoon hanging out and getting to know one another while we tooled around Chicago for their engagement portrait session. Their October wedding is set to take place at The Wit Hotel in downtown Chicago but since they are from Los Angeles and wanted to do something different from the norm, we decided to shoot their engagement photos at a old train station on 18th and Western, Union Station and Adams Street Bridge. The photos really seem to speak for themselves. A fabulous mix of the old and the new Chicago. Congrats to you both on a very special engagement!

On Saturday Betsy and Kent along with about 200 of their close family and friends gathered at The Chicago BlackStone Hotel to tie the knot! The setting at the hotel was beautiful and breathtaking, a perfect Chicago landmark for a celebration. Despite Betsy's broken ankle she was moving and grooving all night as guests danced and celebrated this amazing union! Congrats to you both! Thank you for letting us document your very special day!
